Welcome to Northwest Dance & Acro (NWDA)—a premier dance studio in Marysville, Washington, where passion meets purpose.

Founded in 2007 by Augga Hawkins, a distinguished dancer and choreographer originally from Beijing, China, NWDA has become a beacon for aspiring dancers in the Pacific Northwest. Augga began her dance journey at age 12, training at the Central University of Nationalities. Excelling in ballet, acrobatics, Chinese ethnic dance, jazz, lyrical, and other international styles, she quickly rose to become the lead dancer for the National Chinese Ballet Company, performing across the globe for world leaders and international audiences.

After relocating to the United States, Augga continued to share her talents by teaching and choreographing at esteemed institutions. Her dream, however, was to build a space of her own—where children could discover their passion for dance in an environment that values both artistic expression and technical precision. That dream came true with the creation of NWDA.

What began as a modest studio has grown into a 6,000-square-foot facility featuring four professional studios, parent viewing areas, and a welcoming student lounge. Today, NWDA offers a wide range of classes in Acro, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Tap, Ballroom, and Silks for dancers of all levels and ages.
