March marked another exciting convention weekend for some of our students at Hollywood Vibe in Seattle! Our dancers immersed themselves in two full days of challenging choreography and high-caliber dance instruction from industry professionals such as Liz Imperio, Kent Boyd, and Mark Kanemura, just to name a few. We appreciated how the instructors offered invaluable critiques and coaching and that the demanding material encouraged dancers to really push their boundaries.
On top of the incredible educational opportunity, NWDA dancers performed during the weekend competition and earned 1st Overall for Junior Solos and Senior Solos, 2nd Overall for Intermediate Modern/Contemporary Small Group and Miss Augga received a special judges’ award for Best Direction! Miss Ashley Hawkins also received a Team Hollywood Vibe Scholarship!
It was a rigorous but incredibly rewarding weekend of dance and our hard-working kids left energized and excited for class on Monday.
